Who seeks therapy?
Are you struggling with something that stops you from being who you really want to be in your professional or personal life?
Many people settle for less even when they have the very best intentions and have put in a lot of effort.
Lynne can help you re-programme your unconscious drivers with Cognitive Hypnotherapy or coach you in ways to ‘unstick’ your career or personal dissatisfaction

Lynne also offers a full career coaching programme over five sessions or individual sessions for people with more specific needs. She works with people looking for help with:
What can I expect from Cognitive Hypnotherapy?
Lynne will speak with you first on the phone so that you are both clear on what you are looking to achieve with Cognitive Hypnotherapy.
In first session, she will explore your problem in a lot of depth with you. She will ask you structured questions to ‘map’ out the history of your problem. You will discover more about how you are ‘doing’ your problem and agree what you want to work towards.
Sessions after this will also be conversational and Lynne will design each session according to where you are at that time with ‘doing’ your problem. There’s no set pattern for any particular problem, everything is tailored to you and where you are in your journey.
There are no hard and fast rules about how long you will need to see Lynne. An average amount of sessions needed is around 4-6. Some clients can be helped relatively quickly (eg a simple phobia) and some clients may need to see her for longer.
Most people say hypnosis is like having a gentle and pleasant daydream. After all, it’s not a ‘special state’ as such – it’s an everyday state you do yourself on a regular basis (we spend about 90% of our day on ‘automatic pilot’). This is certainly not what a lot of people associate with hypnosis, the kind that is used on a stage with people doing silly things. You will be aware of what is going on at all times and cannot be made to do anything you don’t want to do. In any case, deep trances are simply not needed for nearly all the work I do with clients. You don’t ‘do’ your problem in a deep trance so it would actually be counterproductive to induce one in nearly all cases.
What can I expect from Coaching?
Sessions will always be tailored to your specific needs and will be defined by an agreed outcome from the start.
The opposite from what you may have experienced in the past from school or other career advisory services, Lynne is there to collaborate with you and help you discover your way rather than tell you what you can and can’t do.
She can help you to understand your resources (including skills, experience, strengths, values) to enable you to make the best possible decisions about your career. Whether you are looking for change in the challenge, balance or authenticity of your work. This is a collaborative, enjoyable and supportive process. She can help you deal with what might be complex issues or change, and will involve you looking together at patterns in your career, exploring possibilities so you can end up with a vision and plan for your future you are excited about pursuing
How long will career coaching take? The length of coaching depends completely on the individual; most clients benefit from a series of five career coaching sessions. Some clients may need one or two sessions on a specific issue eg interview confidence.
