What therapy does Isabel Provide?

Isabel provides therapy for the following mental health and other life difficulties

Low mood
Work / Study stresses
Stresses related to caring responsibilities
Parenting stresses
Self esteem difficulties
Sleep difficulties
Difficulties and stresses related to past trauma or painful memories

The above list is not exhaustive, and if you feel you would like support with a difficulty not listed above, Isabel would be happy to discuss your individual needs with you.

What does therapy involve?

Isabel’s therapeutic style is relaxed and friendly, and she will do all that she can to put you at your ease. We appreciate that starting therapy can be a daunting process, so Isabel is happy to talk with you on the phone or via email to answer any questions you might have prior to meeting her.

Therapy appointments usually last 1 hour and are held weekly.

The first appointment is generally an assessment appointment, where you will discuss your current difficulties and their context. At this appointment, you may be asked to complete  a questionnaire to help Isabel better understand you and your needs. At the first appointment you and Isabel will also discuss your treatment goals, and the expected number of sessions. As therapy progresses, you may decide to shorten or lengthen the number of sessions. However, we will only shorten or lengthen the duration of therapy if this is of benefit to you.
